There’s little doubt that all but the most taciturn of women could talk most men under the table. What’s surprising is that women utter 20,000 words a day compared to only 7,000 spoken by men. With women also being found to speak twice as fast as men, it remains to be seen if the reason men speak less is simply because they can’t get a word in edgeways.
